From Gdansk to the historic capital of Warsaw to the charming Old Town and Marketplace of Krakow, experience Historic Poland. Visit historic castles, churches and many religious sites. Journey to Auschwitz and the Kazimierz Jewish District to understand the painful period in Polish History.
Day 1
Depart the USA on your overnight flight to Gdansk, Poland.
Upon arrival, you’ll be met by our local representative and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free for you to relax or explore on your own. Tonight, join your Tour Manager and fellow travelers for dinner.

After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of Gdańsk, highlighting its connection to Lech Wałęsa. Stroll along the Royal Way and see landmarks including the Golden Gate, the Neptune Fountain, the Artus Court, the historic Gdańsk Main Town Hall, and St. Mary’s Church, the largest Gothic church in Poland.
Continue to Sopot for a walk on Europe’s longest pier, then visit Gdynia to explore its harbor and historic ships, including the ORP Błyskawica and the Dar Pomorza. Return to your hotel in Gdańsk.

Travel to Malbork Castle, the 13th- and 14th-century Castle of the Teutonic Knights and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This impressive Gothic fortress is a remarkable example of medieval defensive and residential architecture, featuring three castles enclosed by separate fortifications.
After exploring the castle, continue to Warsaw, Poland’s largest city. Dinner is included this evening.

Enjoy a full-day tour of Warsaw, one of Europe’s most historically significant capitals. Stroll along the Royal Way through the Old Town and Market Square, passing St. John’s Archcathedral and visiting the Royal Castle, Warsaw, the former residence of Polish kings and Parliament, now home to the Castle Museum.
Visit the Warsaw Rising Museum, where multimedia exhibits bring the 1944 uprising to life. Continue to Łazienki Park to explore its gardens, palaces, pavilions, and monuments, including the statue of Frédéric Chopin.
The evening is free to explore Warsaw at your leisure.

Travel from Warsaw toward Kraków with a stop in Częstochowa to visit the Jasna Góra Monastery, one of the world’s major Catholic pilgrimage sites and Poland’s national shrine. The monastery houses the revered icon of the Black Madonna of Częstochowa in the Chapel of the Black Madonna, long believed by many to have protective and miraculous significance.
After lunch at a local restaurant, continue to Kraków for hotel check-in and an evening at leisure.

Explore Kraków, the former capital of Poland and a city that largely survived World War II intact. Take a walking tour through its UNESCO-listed Old Town, including the Main Market Square—Europe’s largest—and the historic Cloth Hall (Sukiennice).
Visit St. Mary’s Basilica to hear the traditional Hejnal bugle call, then continue to Wawel Castle and Wawel Cathedral, including views of the Sigismund Bell and the Vistula River.
In the afternoon, visit the Wieliczka Salt Mine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring underground chambers, salt-carved sculptures, lakes, and the Chapel of St. Kinga.

Visit the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp, now the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The tour highlights preserved historical features such as the railway tracks, barracks, memorials, and the “Death Wall,” along with a film on the camp’s liberation, reflecting on the scale of loss during the Holocaust.
In the afternoon, explore the Kazimierz District, a historic center of Jewish culture since the 16th century. Key sites include Szeroka Street, synagogues (Isaac, High, Old, and Remuh), the Remuh Cemetery, and the “Eagle” Pharmacy.
The day concludes with a farewell dinner with fellow travelers.

Take a full-day excursion from Kraków to Zakopane, the capital of the Tatra Mountains, known for its distinctive wooden highlander architecture. Stop in the village of Chochołów, famous for traditional wooden homes, and enjoy a tasting of Oscypek in a local shepherd’s hut.
A lunch featuring regional highlander cuisine is included at a local restaurant before returning to Kraków.
